On June 22nd Houston & Texas rugby enthusiasts will gather for the 4th annual luncheon. Former players, coaches, & the local expat community will join again to listen to internationally prominent speakers and enjoy the company of team mates and past opponents all for the benefit of  local HS & youth teams.

George Hook who lists on his rugby CV:  coach of Connaught, London Irish, assistant coach for the USA at the 1987 Rugby World Cup, columnist for the Irish Independent, RTE rugby analyst, and host of the #1 radio show in Ireland is back again.  There will be more speakers and we have the obvious draw of the US and Italy so stay close. Some classic Hook lines:

This lad puts his head where you wouldn't put a blacksmith's anvil.

-on Schalk Burger

"they're using statistics in the same way that a drunk uses a lamp-post...to prop himself up"

"You can add Thomond Park to Fatima, Knock and Lourdes. The lame will come here and walk, they'll be selling water here, because this defies logic."

- RTÉ's George Hook after Munster beat Gloucester 33-6 in the European Cup

"The last time a ball went that far it had a stewardess on board"

-about a long Irish kick
